This is a picture of Trayvon Martin. He was 17 years old when he was shot and killed. Trayvon was leaving a relative’s house in a gated community wearing a hoodie (it was raining) with his hands in his pockets (he had skittles and an ice tea). A volunteer watch guard saw him and called 911 saying he looked “suspicious”. The 911 operator told him not to follow the boy, but he did anyway. He pursued the boy and pulled out a gun to him. Multiple people called 911 to report what was going on because they heard someone screaming for help. After a gunshot, the cry for help was no longer heard because Trayvon Martin was killed

There are soooo many problems with this story, but one of the biggest issues i have with this is why the man found this kid so dangerous that he had to pursue and kill him. WHY?? Was it the hoodie that got you? Oh no, it had to be the skittles. Or that ice tea. Man, those things are scary. But seriously, i believe that the man (who was hispanic) found him “threatening” because he was black. If a kid of any other ethnicity was walking with a hoodie and his hands in his pockets he wouldn’t have looked at him twice. And another thing: what made him kill the kid?! i can see tackling, maybe, if he found him to be a threat to the community. But even then, the 911 operator instructed him to NOT go after the kid. He’s a KID! a child. not even legal yet! The man was obviously racist and gun-happy. Justice needs to be given to the family and the rest of America/the world. People need to know that this is unacceptable. God bless the poor family
